Steve MacMillan joined Hologic in December 2013 as President and CEO, and has led a dramatic turnaround at the Company. He was elected Chairman of the Board of Directors in June 2015. From 2005 to 2012, Mr. MacMillan served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Stryker, where he had been President since 2003. During his tenure at Stryker, Mr. MacMillan successfully led the company through a series of key strategic acquisitions, the launch of a number of products within the orthopedic implants and medical instrumentation businesses, and delivered strong operating performance, with revenue tripling from $2.8 billion to $8.3 billion between 2003 and 2011. Prior to 2003, Mr. MacMillan was a senior executive with Pharmacia, where he oversaw five global businesses with revenues exceeding $2 billion, including one in diagnostics. Prior to joining Pharmacia, Mr. MacMillan spent 11 years with Johnson & Johnson in a variety of senior roles both in the US and Europe, including President of the joint venture between Johnson & Johnson and Merck. Mr. MacMillan began his career with Procter & Gamble in 1985. He received a BA degree in Economics from Davidson College, and is a graduate of Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program. Mr. MacMillan serves on the board of directors of Boston Scientific Corporation, and previously served on the Boards of Alere and Texas Instruments.

Monica Aguirre Berthelot joined Hologic in August of 2012 following the acquisition of Gen-Probe, where she served as Assistant to the Chairman, President and CEO from 2005 to 2012. She was promoted to her current role in January 2014. Prior to joining Gen-Probe, Ms. Aguirre worked at Radianz, a technology company based in New York, and at TransTechnology, an aerospace and industrial products company in New Jersey. She has served as an Executive Assistant to the Chairmen and CEOs of various publicly traded companies over a career that spans 30 years.
Allison Bebo joined Hologic in February 2015 with 15 years of human resources experience. From 2000 to 2015, Mrs. Bebo held various human resources leadership positions at ANN INC., primarily focused on talent acquisition, associate relations, and talent management. She most recently served as Vice President, Talent Management. From 2007 to 2012, she served as Vice President, Human Resources for the Ann Taylor and LOFT field organization. She served as Director of Organizational Effectiveness from 2004 to 2007, and Director of Talent Resources from 2000 to 2004. From 1997 to 2000, she served as District Manager for the Northeast Region for Ann Taylor, and from 1994 to 1997 she served as a Store Manager in Stamford, Conn. She holds a BA in Political Science from UCLA.

Sean Daugherty joined Hologic in May 2017 as Vice President of Sales for the GYN Surgical division, and was promoted to his current position in July 2017. He has more than 14 years of experience leading commercial operations, and has established a track record of growing revenue and EBITDA, improving the customer experience, and developing talented and highly engaged teams. Before joining Hologic, Mr. Daugherty served in leadership roles for several medical technology companies including Resmed and Stryker, where he began his career and held positions of increasing responsibility including General Manager, Patient Care, in Stryker’s Medical division. He holds a BS degree in Biological Aspects of Conservation from the University of Wisconsin, where he also was a captain of the basketball team.
John Griffin joined Hologic in February 2015 with nearly 30 years of experience across a broad spectrum of legal matters. Mr. Griffin worked at Covidien from 2000 to 2015, where he most recently served as Vice President, Deputy General Counsel. From 1994 to 2000, he served as Assistant US Attorney in Boston, and prosecuted complex criminal cases. He began his career at Nutter, McClennen & Fish in Boston. Mr. Griffin currently serves on the Board of Directors for Por Cristo in Boston, and the New England Legal Foundation. He also serves as Treasurer on the Board of Directors of Health Care Volunteers International. He has a JD from Harvard Law School and a BA in Political Science from Columbia.
Mike Kelly joined Hologic in November 2014, and is responsible for global manufacturing, quality, regulatory and supply chain. Prior to joining Hologic, Mr. Kelly spent 14 years with Boston Scientific, including positions as Vice President, Global Supply Chain, and Vice President and General Manager of Operations. His prior experience includes roles with CR Bard and Johnson & Johnson, where he served in positions of increased responsibility in Quality Assurance, Regulatory Auditing, Plant Management, Manufacturing and Sterilization. Mr. Kelly is a graduate of Albertus Magnus College in New Haven, Conn., and holds a BS in Business and Economics and an AA in Management.
Bob McMahon joined Hologic in May 2014 with more than 20 years of healthcare finance experience. From 1993 to 2014, Mr. McMahon worked at Johnson & Johnson in executive finance roles of increasing responsibility. Most recently, he served as the Worldwide Vice President, Finance and Business Development, Ortho Clinical Diagnostics. From 2006 to 2011, Mr. McMahon served as Vice President, Finance, Consumer Group, and from 2004 to 2006 he served as Vice President, Finance, Networking & Computing Services. Mr. McMahon is a Certified Management Accountant. He holds an MBA from the University of Central Florida and a BS in Business Administration from the University of Florida.

Karleen Oberton joined Hologic in 2006 as corporate controller, and was promoted to her current position in 2015. She is responsible for the global finance organization, including controllership functions, financial planning and analysis, and shared services. Before joining Hologic, Ms. Oberton served as senior corporate controller of Immunogen from 2004 to 2006. Prior to that, she was a Senior Audit Manager in Ernst Young’s Life Science practice and in Arthur Andersen’s High Technology practice. Ms. Oberton was an active Certified Public Accountant for more than 18 years, and holds a BS in Business Administration from Merrimack College. She is a member of Merrimack’s Leadership Council.
Sanjay Prabhakaran joined Hologic in July 2016 with more than 25 years of experience in medical devices, diagnostics and biotechnology across the Asia Pacific region. Mr. Prabhakaran worked at Baxter International from 2007 to 2016, most recently as President, Asia Pacific, where he oversaw a commercial and manufacturing footprint exceeding $2 billion in sales with over 12,000 employees. From 1997 to 2006, Mr. Prabhakaran worked at Boston Scientific in senior leadership roles. He began his career at Boehringer Mannheim GmBH in India. He has been a member of the board of AdvaMed in China, and has helped build government partnerships across the region. He received a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electronics and Communication from Calicut University, and graduated from Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program.

Jay Stein is a co-founder, Chairman Emeritus, Senior Vice President and the Chief Technical Officer of the Company. He has served as Executive or Senior Vice President and Chief Technical Officer of the Company since its organization in 1985. Since October 2007, Dr. Stein has served as Chairman Emeritus, pursuant to which he continues to participate in meetings of the Board. He served as a Director of the Company from 1985 through 2007, including as Chairman of the Board from 2001 to 2002. Dr. Stein received a Ph.D. in Physics from The Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is the principal author of numerous patents involving X-ray technology.
Kevin Thornal joined Hologic in 2014 as Vice President, Customer Experience, Field Service and Clinical Applications for the Breast and Skeletal Health division. He transitioned to Vice President, Breast and Skeletal Health for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region in early 2016, and was promoted to his current position in July 2017. Prior to joining Hologic, Mr. Thornal worked at Stryker from 2004 to 2014 in positions of increasing responsibility in sales, marketing, and mergers and acquisitions. Throughout his career, he has established a track record of leading businesses that deliver strong growth and commercial excellence. Mr. Thornal previously played professional football, including a short stint with the Atlanta Falcons. He holds a BA in History, with minors in English and Secondary Education, from Southern Methodist University.
Pete Valenti joined Hologic in 2014 with nearly 30 years of sales, brand and product management expeience, including 20 years in healthcare. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Valenti was a Principal at the New England Consulting Group, where he consulted for numerous healthcare companies including Bausch + Lomb, a role he assumed following his four-year tenure in the North American and Global President roles of Bausch + Lomb’s Vision Care business from 2009 to 2013. From 2007 to 2009, he was the General Manager, US Region, for Covidien’s Surgical Devices business. From 1995 to 2007, he worked at Johnson & Johnson, where he held executive positions of increasing responsibility. Mr. Valenti began his career at Procter & Gamble. He received an MBA from Cornell and a BS in Business Administration from the University of Connecticut.

Jan Verstreken joined Hologic in January 2017 with more than 25 years of experience, primarily at Teleflex. He served as President of APAC for Teleflex from 2013 to 2016, and from 2009 to 2013 was Regional Vice President and General Manager, Europe, Middle East and Africa. Mr. Verstreken has broad experience creating and developing strong distribution channels while building aligned teams in global, matrix organizations. He also has been involved in mergers and acquisitions, leading a number of major integrations. In 1992, he co-founded Access Medical SA, a provider of specialized laparoscopic surgical devices that was later acquired by Teleflex. He holds a Bachelor of Marketing degree from the Hoger Handels Instituut in Turnhout, Belgium, and has completed leadership coursework at the Thunderbird School of Global Management and the Levinson Institute at Harvard.
Mike Watts joined Hologic in August of 2012 following the acquisition of Gen-Probe, and was appointed to his current position in December of 2014. Previously, Mr. Watts was Vice President and General Manager of Acquired Businesses, overseeing a portfolio of assets in transplant diagnostics, infectious disease testing, prostate cancer diagnostics, pharmaceutical services, and agricultural biotech. Before that, he was Vice President of Investor Relations and Corporate Communications at Gen-Probe. Earlier in his career, he held positions of increasing responsibility in strategy, finance and communications at Baxter, Ligand and Merck. He has a BS from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern and an MBA from UCLA’s Anderson School of Management.
Tom West joined Hologic in October 2014 with more than 20 years of healthcare experience. From 1992 to 2014, Mr. West worked at Johnson & Johnson in various roles of increasing responsibility across the globe. Most recently, he served as the Worldwide Vice President – Strategy and Business Development, for Johnson & Johnson’s Diabetes Solutions Companies. Previously, he was President of LifeScan North America and President of LifeScan EMEA. Mr. West has a proven track record of forming and implementing growth strategies in the life sciences and consumer healthcare industries in the U.S., Canada, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America. He has a BS in Politics and Economics from Princeton, and an MBA in Marketing and Strategic Management from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.
